Integrating ESG principles into the construction of an intelligent mobility ecosystem, Taxieco drives a green future with technological innovation, earning recognition through the "ESG Outstanding Innovation and Technology Award."

At the "ESG Certification Awards and Sustainable Development Forum 2025" held on October 21, vehicle AIoT equipment and service provider Taxieco New World Limited (hereinafter referred to as Taxieco) stood out among numerous enterprises with its innovative technological practices and was awarded the "ESG Outstanding Innovation and Technology Award."

This award aims to recognize outstanding companies that actively implement ESG principles in the field of technological innovation. Alibaba Group also received this award alongside Taxieco.

01 Forum Highlights: ESG from Slogan to Practice

The "ESG Certification Awards and Sustainable Development Forum 2025," jointly organized by Sing Tao News Group and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was recently held at the banquet hall of The Hotel Icon in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Now in its third year, the forum has become a significant event in Hong Kong's ESG landscape.

Lee Ka-chuen, the Climate Change Commissioner of the Environment and Ecology Bureau, attended the event and discussed ESG prospects and opportunities with many industry leaders.

Sam Lam, Deputy Chief Executive of Sing Tao News Group, pointed out at the forum that ESG has become an indispensable part of global corporate development in recent years.

"Major enterprises are no longer limited to slogan promotion; they are incorporating ESG factors into investment and decision-making processes and proactively releasing ESG reports to enhance transparency," Lam emphasized.

02 Award-Winning Enterprise: Taxieco's Path of Technological Innovation

Since its establishment in 2020, Taxieco has actively participated in building Hong Kong's intelligent mobility ecosystem and has grown into one of the leading vehicle AIoT equipment and service providers.

As an innovative technology company, Taxieco has always integrated social responsibility into its corporate DNA.

In August 2025, Taxieco partnered with City University of Hong Kong to establish the "TAXIECO Care On-The-Go Scholarship."

This scholarship aims to recognize and support outstanding students excelling in fields such as technology, engineering, data analysis, and environmental sciences.

03 Significance of the Award: The Value of the ESG Outstanding Innovation and Technology Award

The award selection for this year's forum was particularly stringent, with professional evaluations conducted jointly by Sing Tao News Group, the Centre for Sustainable Economics and Entrepreneurial Finance (CESEF) of PolyU's School of Accounting and Finance, the PolyU Research Centre for Science and Technology Innovation Policy (PReCIT), and strategic partner KPMG.

The "ESG Outstanding Innovation and Technology Award" specifically recognizes enterprises that deeply integrate innovative technology with ESG principles and make tangible contributions to sustainable development.

Alibaba Group, which received the award alongside Taxieco, also demonstrated outstanding performance in combining technological innovation with ESG.

This shows that regardless of size, companies can drive sustainable development through technological innovation.

04 Industry Trends: Technology Driving ESG Development

The theme of this forum was "Smart Technology Leading a Green Future," aligning with the initiative to accelerate the implementation of green technology as proposed in the 2025 Policy Address.

Professor Wang Zuankai, Associate Vice President (Research) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, stated in his forum address that the implementation of new standards means enterprises will require more precise data collection, more professional analytical capabilities, and more forward-looking strategies.

Commissioner Lee Ka-chuen noted at the forum that Hong Kong could assist Belt and Road Initiative and other countries in cultivating green talent and advancing green transformation.

Innovative technology is a crucial driver for green transformation, and "only through enterprises can green research and development projects with application potential be transformed into products with commercial value."

The deep integration of technological innovation and ESG principles was key to Taxieco receiving the "ESG Outstanding Innovation and Technology Award."

With the Hong Kong SAR government planning to require qualified listed companies to implement climate-related disclosures as early as 2025, enterprises will need more precise data collection and professional analytical capabilities.

Taxieco's model demonstrates that technological innovation and sustainable development are not parallel lines but dual wheels that can collectively drive the future of enterprises.
